Quality is no accident for RICHARD BEHR & CO. (RIBECO). It arises from traditional craftsmanship, innovation, and a clear commitment to materials, workmanship, and service.
Our Hanseatic origins stand for reliability, diligence and responsibility, combined with modern production and quality standards.

Our goal is to develop products that are comfortable, durable, high-quality , and deliver convincing performance night after night.

2. Scope

This quality guideline applies to:

  • all products

  • Production and logistics processes

  • the entire supply chain up to the raw material source

3. Quality promise

RIBECO requires compliance with all legal quality requirements for all relevant products.

Our quality standards are based on four key pillars:

  • Quality of materials

  • Quality of production processes

  • Packaging quality

  • Transparent and controlled supply chains

We are committed to consistent, transparent and high quality standards at all stages of the value chain.

Furthermore, we are strategically expanding our product range to include products and production facilities whose standards exceed legal requirements . Suppliers are obligated to comply with defined minimum quality standards.

4. Requirements and Implementation

To ensure our quality standards, we implement, among other things, the following measures:

Customer and market requirements

  • Close collaboration with customers in defining product and quality goals

  • Adherence to the highest applicable customer standards

Products and raw materials

  • Purchase exclusively from manufacturers who:

    • all relevant national and international quality standards are met

    • are certified accordingly

  • Avoiding supply chains that are not traceable or insufficiently audited

Textile standards and environmental aspects

  • OEKO-TEX® certified fabrics and fillings (third-party tested)

  • Daunasan and Daunafresh certification for hygienic natural fillings (EN 12935)

  • DETOX-compliant supply chains, especially in bleaching and dyeing processes

  • Labelling of naturally filled products according to EN 12934

Examinations and certifications

To monitor our quality standards, we use, among other things:

  • OEKO-TEX®

  • NOMITE (suitable for allergy sufferers)

  • DOWNPASS

  • IDFL certifications along the supply chain

5. Active implementation and further development

Our quality requirements are implemented as follows:

  • in close cooperation with suppliers

  • through regular inspections and risk-based assessments

  • In case of deviations, binding corrective action plans are in place

Employees with an influence on product quality receive appropriate training. Management is regularly informed about the implementation progress.

Continuous improvement

We continuously develop our products, taking into account customer wishes and market requirements, including through:

  • Expansion of certified sustainable products

  • Expansion of the vegan product range

  • Pilot projects to promote higher quality standards

  • Improvement of conventional products in collaboration with suppliers

The exchange with NGOs, science and industry partners is an integral part of our work.

Regular review

This quality policy is reviewed annually and adjusted as needed to ensure consistently high product quality and transparent processes.
