Washing instructions

1. How do I wash my pillows and duvets?

Professional cleaning is recommended. Here you will find important information to help maintain the properties of your bedding products throughout their lifespan.

Which washing machines are used?

For washing your bedding products, the washing machine capacity should be at least 7 kg / 15 lbs. An even higher capacity is recommended.
To avoid damage to the product and the washing machine, the washing machine should be filled to a maximum of 25% of its total capacity.

With top-loading washing machines, you should always wash two items at the same time to balance the load. If you only have one item, you can balance the weight with a few large towels of similar total weight.

What washing process is required?

The main wash should be done at 40°C in "gentle wash" mode (less movement, gentle treatment) for about 15-20 minutes.
Then rinse four times without detergent, with each rinse cycle lasting approximately 5 minutes. The third and fourth rinse cycles should be performed with a high water level.

After the fourth rinse cycle, spin the product at high speed.
Should you accidentally set a higher temperature, the material properties of high-quality bedding products ensure that the basic product characteristics are maintained. However, higher temperatures will cause the products to wear out faster and may void the warranty.

Which detergents are used?

Use only mild cleaning agents and as little of them as possible – a maximum of 25 g / 1 oz per kg.
After washing, the detergents must be completely rinsed out, otherwise the materials may stick together during drying.

Which dryers are used?

For drying your bedding products, the tumble dryer should have a capacity of at least 7 kg / 15 lbs. A higher capacity is recommended.
To avoid damage, the dryer should also only be loaded with a maximum of 25% of its total capacity.

How do I dry my bedding products?

To achieve optimal results, you should dry all bedding very gently. The maximum drying temperature is 60°C .
The dryer drum must oscillate during the drying process; that is, the direction of rotation should change randomly. This is the only way to ensure that the positive product properties are maintained in the long term.

For every 2 kg of filling weight, we recommend adding a tennis ball to the drum (no joke!).
First, dry the products for about 20 minutes, then remove them and shake them. Repeat this process at least three times, or until the products are completely dry and pleasantly fluffy.

Are there any other aspects to consider when washing?

  • Do not bleach the product

  • Do not iron filled products

  • No ironing or hot pressing

  • No chemical cleaning or additives for filled products

  • Bedding should be washed every few months , but at least once per season
